Lots of firsts this weekend...
My Runner Girls ran their first 18-miler on Saturday morning - and kicked major ass! I "only" did 14. And felt great. I <3 cutback weeks.
I went on my first group bike ride with the Twin Cities Bicycling Club on Sunday morning - 28 miles, riding through St. Paul and Minneapolis. It was great to ride with a group!
I took Ryan to his first Twins game on Sunday afternoon. The Twins lost. Boo! But we had a great time (and I ate a sinful amount of cotton candy). Yay!
Saturday Run
Distance: 14.27 miles
Average Pace: 10:48
Average HR: 157
Three words to describe this run: Spring, Calm, Delightful
Sunday Bike
Distance: 28 miles
Average Speed: 12.5 mph (Lots of stop and go - urban ride)
Average HR: 140
Three words to describe this ride: First Group Ride!

Only 14? Such a slacker! I kid, I kid! Hooray for cutback weeks . . . you deserve one!
And just for the record? It's sinful to go to a ballgame and not partake in the such delightful culinary options as cotton candy ;)
I love riding with a group - great motivation and you can learn some great tricks to becoming a better cyclist!
Hurrah for biking! Perhaps with the group you will start to feel like you are getting the miles in routinely.
Also, it did not escape my attention that you were no longer in the easy lane at the pool last night. Great progress!!
