Weekend in New England
I'm working on cleaning out my "drafts" in blogger...and stumbled upon this gem.

Many months ago (in FEBRUARY, how did this post slip through the cracks??), I went to New England for a "sisters weekend" with some of my "sisters" - aka my cousins.

We know how to have a good time. I may have drank my body weight in wine that weekend.

I flew into Boston where I met up with the girlys (who came in from Boston, Oregon and New Hampshire) and the first night, we went to my cousin's house in New Hampshire. We stayed up late playing cribbage and reminiscing about our youth. I know, we sound like we're secretly a group of old men.

The next night, our three aunts from Boston came to New Hampshire for dinner. I had brought matching socks for the girls and we thought we'd dazzle the aunts with our cleverness. Look at us! Matching socks! We planned in advance!

We had a great time eating, drinking, dancing, playing games and having a great time in general.

Crazy Aunt Mary had a spectacular hat that I hijacked for part of the night.

Auntie Ann had cleaned out her jewelry box and shared her castoffs with us. Jackpot!

As the evening was winding down, the aunts announced that they were going to get ready for bed. They all hoofed it upstairs and came down a few minutes later...

...Wearing Matching Pajamas.

DUDE.

We thought we were soooo clever with our matching socks, but we were so, so wrong. We had been one-upped. Aunt Marlene wins the prize - she coordinated the whole thing.

The rest of the weekend flew by - we headed into Boston and visited the Museum of Fine Arts, hit up a rockin' bar with great live music, and finally crashed. Then it was time to go home. When I was dropped off at the airport in Boston, it was 60 degrees. I landed in Minneapolis and it was 0 degrees. GAH. Back to reality!!
