Karen's birthday was yesterday, so the running girls went out for dinner and dessert. I had the most amazing cake ever. Layers of chocolate, caramel, nuts, and more chocolate. To. Die. For.
I've been in the market for new sunglasses and picked up a pair last week. I thought I loved them...until they started fogging up when I ran. No dice. So last night after dinner, I exchanged the for a different pair, got home, and went out for a 3-miler. It was 9pm. It was not sunny. I was running in sunglasses. Wouldn't you know I would run into the Hottie Neighbor??
But the run went really well, even though I felt like I was going to (literally) toss my cookies (cookies...cake...potato...potaaahhhto) because I was so stuffed from our delicious dinner. The sunglasses didn't fog up, so my test was successful and they will be allowed on the marathon course.
I ran my last training run today - 2 miles with a handful of strides thrown in. It didn't feel as good as last night's 3-mile cake run, but whatever. Taper: complete.
