In an earlier post, I mentioned that I went out on Saturday.
You would think I would realize when a bar has a "college ID night" with 2-fers, it has some serious potential to get ugly.
And it didn't disappoint. We had a crazy good time.
It was one of those nights where you keep laughing to yourself as you remember tidbits from the night. "I can't believe I busted out that dance move"..."And then she licked the beer off of my stomach"..."And we took shots with our arms linked"...And there are some moments that will stay locked in my brain, because, Hi Mom!
Anyway.
Dancing? Check.
Tequila? Check.
Drinking my body weight in beer? Check.
Met some freaking awesome people? Triple Check.
There were approximately 30,000 pictures taken, but I have yet to see any. Maybe that's a good thing, because you know that if I got my grubby paws on them, I'd post them here and then I'd never be able to run for public office.
You can bet your ass that I was 95.8% worthless on Sunday. It was rainy and crappy and it was the perfect day to take two naps (which I happily did). I was in a zombie-like state and I Could Not Snap Out Of It.
I knew what I had to do to add some value to my day. This is a running blog. You do the math.
So I went for a run. I HAD to. I knew that there was no way I would feel human unless I sweat out the tequila. And I certainly did sweat it out...I could smell the alcohol coming out of my pores. Bleh.
I was pleasantly surprised with my pace. I ran 15 miles the day before and then tortured my body with booze...and still had a respectable run. This training is starting to pay off!!
Sidenote: Happy Birthday, Terry!

I love those nights!
I knew you had fun but I didn't realize it was THAT MUCH FUN!!! Guess we'll call YOU the "party girl."
I had a friday night like that. And boy did I pay for it on Saturday. But my run was scheduled for Sunday so it's all good in the hood.
Drinking + Running = what else is there?
I guess it would have been ridiculous to lick the alcohol coming out of your pores for a little running buzz??? Yeah, thats probably silly...
Sounds like a great night out. Super hangover run too! I had one of those too on Sunday, except I waited until 7 pm to run, and by then I was quite reeking of alcohol anymore...
