...The Need For Speed.

(And also the need to see Val Kilmer sweaty and shirtless. Rawr, baby!)
I did my first speed workout with the Roseville gals tonight. The more I run with them, the move I LOVE them. They totally rock.
We were planning on doing Yassos at the track but there was a lacrosse game...so we headed to Central Park and did 10x 90/30s (90 seconds easy, 30 seconds all out). DUDE. Running fast is hard. Or I'm a pansy. Probably both.
We ended up getting 5.6 miles in - average pace for warmup, 90/30s and cooldown was 10:23. Respectable. We returned to the club and did a quick strength workout and with three heel clicks (aka a 20-minute drive), I was home sweet home.
Lets keep it between us, but I think these hill and speed workouts are kind of fun.

I think you must be possessed. Fun!
Nice job! I like the IDEA of speedwork but then when I actually do it, I'm pretty much kicking myself the wholetime.
(But I do love me some hills lately..shhhhhh!)
Hmmm I bet they could be fun with fun girls to run with. Running fast and hills alone... NOT so fun.
Speeed workouts and hill workouts ARE fun. If you don't think of them as fun, you'll dread doing them:P
Nice run!
I love the three heel clicks - there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home! :)
Bana boy, Kilmer, you're killing me here.
Way to run hard. Speed, hill workouts are tough but very worthwhile. At the very least, you feel like a bad ass when you are done (even if you wanted to cry in the middle of 'em).
