A 4:31, baby!
I donated blood Wednesday night. I swear it gets easier each time.
I was a little nervous that they'd turn me away becauseI've accepted money or drug for sex since 1977 I have historically toed the line of iron deficiency (hematocrit must be at least 38%). Since I've stopped eating meat, I was worried that I'd be iron deficient. It was a close call - my hematocrit was 38 exactly.
I had a good feeling going into this donation. I'd drank a lot of water throughout the day, so I knew a PR was possible. My previous PR was 4:45...and I blew it out of the water with a 4:31. Dude!
After the donation I got a rockin' sticker (I am Donor - hear me roar) and a fresh baked cookie. Yummmm...
Saved three lives? Check.
Ate delicious cookie? Check.
Got a karmic high-five? Check.

It made me sad :-(
Hmmmm,
I haven't timed my blood donations and you haven't seen the size of my vein (at the antecubital of my right arm people).
I bet I could kick your ass at this! (unlike running)
