Man alive, is my running inconsistent.
I had an amazing run tonight.
I had a 6-miler on the schedule for tonight. I was tired. I was contemplating skipping the run to instead spend some quality time curled up on the couch. But at the last minute, I hopped in the running shoes and told myself that I'd just head out for a quick 3. So I headed out without the fuel belt - just me and Garmina.
Wouldn't you know that as soon as I got out there, I turned into a gazelle. I was running at a decent pace and it felt amazing. I decided that I wasn't going to waste this amazing feeling and decided to turn the 3 into a 5. But I couldn't stop. I kept getting faster and faster, and I wanted to see if I could really kick it up a notch. So I added on one last mile - making it an even six. As the schedule dictated.
Mile 1: 10:28
Mile 2: 10:44
Mile 3: 10:48
Mile 4: 10:10
Mile 5: 9:40
Mile 6: 9:00
Average pace: 10:08
Total time: 1:00:54
Yeah. A nine minute mile. After running five miles. Average heart rate for that last mile? 190. I definitely would have keeled over if I ran even a step further.
Three words to describe this run: beautiful, exhilarating, FAST.
So. What should my goal pace be for the TC10 this weekend???

My pace was always VERY consistent at about a 10min or 10min 15sec mile. Unless I ran a 5K, then I could do a 9min mile.
i like your new idea of summing your runs up in 3 words!
and damn girl are you fast!!!!
