I've decided to take a page out of Ali's book...and start Octoberathon.
Which means I am going to run every day in October.
I was going to wait a few days - after I had a few runs under my belt - before announcing it (kind of like how expectant mothers wait until after the first trimester to announce their pregnancy), but I think I will be more likely to stick with it if I go ahead and make the official announcement today.
Challenges:
Boston: I'll be in Boston for three days next week. Travel + Running = Tricky
I'm Lazy: Sometimes I'm cranky and whiny when I get home from work and all I want to do is curl up on the couch with a comfy blanket to watch some Entourage.
Pub Crawl. I'm doing a pub crawl in a few weeks. Hangover + Running = Disaster
Mornings. In October, there are a few days where I have to work all day and have plans all night. Which will either lead to treadmill runs (haaaate!) or morning runs (haaaaaaaate!).
And this won't be like Nutritionathon. While I met my Nutritionathon goals most days, I just didn't blog about it. So for all of you non-running readers out there...I apologize in advance.
I only have one rule. Runs must be two miles or longer. Oh, and treadmill runs count. Seeing how I'm doing a half marathon on October 27, I won't just be running 2-milers every day - I'm going to stick with my current schedule and just add shorter runs on the days that I would normally have off.
And I'm off. Days 1 and 2 are officially under my belt.
So wish me luck!

even 2 miles hungover or travelling are totally doable. that's what like 20 minutes for you?? and yes treadmils suck (even though i like them) 20 minutes on a treadmill is NOT that bad. not nearly as bad as messing up octoberthon or whatever.... right???
and i've taken a belly dancing class. it is really fun and you feel all seductive and stuff....and it definitely gets the attention of the boys ;)
Best of luck with Octoberathon! Think of travelling as an opportunity to see some new places by foot. I hear Boston has some terrific running routes worth exploring. I agree with you on the treadmill running thing though....hate it!!!
