I just got a call from one of my best friends from high school. She was calling with the exciting news that she just gave birth to her second child.
How can someone the same age as me be in such a different place than me?? At this time in my life, I have absolutely no desire to be married. I have absolutely no desire to have children. And I would guess that she has no desire to train for a marathon...or to party until 4am...
Don't get me wrong - I want to do those things someday...just not NOW.
Additionally...listening to her scream at her 2-year-old (For the love of Pete, STOP throwing your yogurt on the floor!!)...I consider that free birth control. :)
